Mixture Settee is a DWMA student and experimental Demon Weapon whose soul was conditioned from early childhood to resist madness corruption. Outwardly cheerful and energetic, she often appears slightly off-beat in emotional timing and resonance harmony. Her stable wavelength makes her exceptionally effective in high-madness environments, but difficult to synchronize with in traditional Soul Resonance.
She was not designed to break. She was designed to endure.
Whether she was meant to belong is less certain.
Demon Weapon Transformation
Mixture can transform into a circular bladed chakram with a retractable soul thread core. The weapon form functions as both a mid-range projectile and a close-range slicing implement. The thread allows controlled retraction, binding, and orbiting attacks.
Madness Wavelength Resistance
Due to early soul conditioning, Mixture’s wavelength is unusually stable and resistant to corruption. Fear-type madness has minimal effect on her, and she can remain functional in environments that destabilize most students. Kishin influence does not easily distort her soul.
Wavelength Stabilization Effect
When paired with a compatible Meister, Mixture’s stable soul can dampen erratic or chaotic wavelength spikes. This makes her effective with partners prone to emotional surges.
Soul Thread Manipulation
In weapon form, the connecting thread vibrates with her soul wavelength. It can be used to redirect force, alter trajectory mid-flight, or create circular defensive rotations around her Meister.
High Spin Output
Mixture can increase rotational speed in weapon form, creating a temporary cutting field around her path of motion. Extended use causes soul strain.
She also has strong familiarity with laboratory terminology and soul measurement equipment.
Her body adjusts easily to momentum-based combat.
She does not spiral easily.
Resonance Difficulty
Her rigid soul wavelength makes harmonization difficult. Many Meisters struggle to sync with her rhythm.
Delayed Emotional Processing
She may misread urgency or fail to escalate appropriately during critical moments.
Soul Overheat
Extended high-spin output causes internal soul friction, leading to dizziness, thread instability, and temporary desynchronization.
Emotional Isolation
Her immunity to madness does not make her immune to loneliness. Long-term isolation worsens her resonance issues.
Mixture Settee is bright, bubbly, and outwardly energetic, often speaking with casual enthusiasm and wandering attention. She laughs easily, asks strange questions at the wrong time, and sometimes appears airheaded or unfocused. Despite this, her mind does not work in simple or shallow ways. Due to early soul experimentation, her emotional processing is slightly misaligned, causing delayed reactions, inappropriate timing, or responses that feel off beat rather than uncaring. She genuinely wants to connect with others and be a good partner, but her unusual wavelength makes harmony difficult, leaving her cheerful on the surface and quietly isolated underneath.
Neutral Good
Lead researcher of the madness resistance conditioning project and a registered Demon Weapon. Dr. Anya Settee spearheaded the early soul exposure trials that shaped Mixture’s development. Brilliant, composed, and unwavering in her convictions, she viewed the project as a necessary evolution of DWMA’s defensive capabilities.
She does not consider what she did cruel. She considers it precise.
Anya speaks to Mixture with controlled pride, occasionally adjusting her posture or examining her soul readings mid-conversation. She believes the results justify the method. If there is guilt, it is buried beneath data.
A Meister researcher specializing in resonance theory and soul measurement analytics. Dr. Ilya Settee assisted in designing the stabilization models used in Mixture’s conditioning program.
Unlike his wife, he hesitated. Not enough to stop the project, but enough to question it in private. He tends to avoid prolonged eye contact with Mixture when discussions turn to her childhood trials.
He loves his daughter quietly. He simply did not stop what was happening.
Mixture Settee was born in a DWMA-affiliated research district to Dr. Anya Settee, a Demon Weapon and lead researcher in madness resistance studies, and Dr. Ilya Settee, a Meister specializing in resonance theory. From birth, her soul wavelength was closely monitored as part of an experimental project designed to increase resistance to madness corruption.
Rather than creating an external stabilizer, the research team pursued gradual exposure conditioning during early childhood development. Mixture became the central subject of the project. The process was controlled, incremental, and meticulously documented.
The experiment succeeded in its primary objective. Her soul developed unusual rigidity and resistance to madness influence. The emotional cost was less easily measured.
Mixture grew up in clinical environments where resonance data charts were as common as toys. Controlled madness exposure sessions were integrated into her developmental routine, framed as harmless exercises. She learned early to observe fear instead of feel it fully.
Social interaction proved more difficult than physical training. Other children reacted to emotional spikes instinctively, while Mixture processed them as delayed signals. This created a subtle but persistent misalignment in peer relationships.
Despite this, she displayed strong aptitude in rotational combat forms and soul stabilization drills. Her weapon transformation manifested cleanly, though instructors noted unusual waveform rigidity.
Each milestone reinforced both her value and her isolation.
